Icelandic Glacial™ is the world's first bottled water to be certified carbon neutral in both product and operations, and is proud to operate completely sustainably, powered solely by geothermal and hydroelectric power.
The 714 sq m world-class facility is one of the most environmentally friendly in the world. To achieve a net-zero carbon footprint, Icelandic Glacial™ continually measures and reduces emissions through a combination of internal and environmental measures.
To eliminate remaining emissions, Icelandic Glacial™ also invests in verified renewable energy, forestry, and resource conservation projects around the world. Our efforts have earned us international recognition, notably winning the Bottled Water World Design Award for Best Sustainability Initiative in 2007.

Specially selected bottles
Icelandic Glacial™ bottles are made from BPA-free recycled plastic, and the bottle, label, cap, and cardboard are all 100% recyclable.
The bottle, with its distinctive glacier-inspired sculpture, was awarded "Best Overall Concept and Best Label" at the Bottled Water World Design Awards.
Testing and Certification
Icelandic Glacial™ water is regularly tested to ensure it meets the highest food safety and quality standards. Icelandic Glacial™ facilities and products are fully certified by NSF and consistently meet or exceed the requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the World Health Organization. Aarhus Springs and our facilities are also regularly inspected by the Icelandic Public Health Authority to ensure they meet WHO standards. In addition to government requirements, Icelandic Glacial™ also conducts extensive daily testing in our own in-house laboratory.
